Administration
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. We are so excited to be opening Simon Springs Community School. A little background about me: I am originally from Miami, Florida. I played tennis for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I received a bachelor’s in science and a master’s in special education from UTK. I also have my Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from MTSU and my Administration License from Lipscomb University. I am going into my 15th year with Rutherford County Schools. I was a special education teacher for 7 years, an RTI interventionist for 4 years, and an assistant principal for 3 years. I cannot wait to see what year 15 brings. Let’s S.O.A.R. together! |

I am so excited to start the 2024-2025 school year at Simon Springs Community School. I am a product of Rutherford County Schools and feel privileged to serve the community I love. In 2009, I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology and returned to MTSU in 2012 to complete requirements for my special education teaching license. In 2019, I completed my Master's degree in educational leadership at Trevecca. I started my career as a special education teacher in 2013, after 8 years I transitioned into the At-Risk Special Education Coach position for Rutherford County, giving me the opportunity to work with teachers and staff in the district's nontraditional educational programs.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband, 6 children and doodle Lucy. We have a crazy busy life but love every minute of it.
I am so excited about all the possibilities this year brings and to go on this adventure with the Simon Springs staff and families.
